Beschreibung

For many years people who are seeking a safe home are facing daily violence at the European boarders. Instead of rescue at sea, people are brought back to the open water. Violence and illegal pushbacks are normalized also along the so-called Balkan route. People there are forced to be homeless or have to endure in inhuman camps – for months or even years. As a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, the European Union excels with violations of human rights, calls for further tightening of asylum law and is unable to find a human solution. At the same time NGOs are being systematically prevented from working. We are talking to activists of Balkanbrücke about the situation at the European boarders. In addition, Kieler Seebrücke will introduce their local activities here in Kiel: How can we #LeaveNoOneBehind?
